A lot of people have begged for Metro 4 but I don’t even know what that is
Anyone play Metro awakening yet?
Hello everyone! I'm pretty new here but I decided share my recent drawing (I found in the rules that it's not allowed to share stuff like that in the articles but I think it's fine on the forum? Sorry if i'm wrong). So I was bored lately and I decided to make a character for myself basing on the two first games. Nothing really serious just for fun, it's not the best and still needs some work, (I will write a bit about him maybe later and probably change something about the design too) but if someone is still alive here it would be nice if you share your thoughts about it. Thanks! ;)
(i'm not French but my name irl is also Hugo and my friends always jokes about me being French since Hugo is a really popular name in France) (yeah i gave him the same name as me)
Congratulations, I guess. I am not in this fandom (yet, maybe later) and I haven't played the games either, but I have been reading the novel for some time. I'm on Chapter 12 rn, it's almost Polis. The book has been going pretty good but I remember testing the classic Metro 2033 game for like 2 hours when -if I recall correct- Steam gave it for free a few years ago and holly molly was it horrible. Took me a while to notice that the game is heavily different from the novel after starting reading (yeah this is nessecary if you're making an adaptation but I hate when this happens) too. So I wanted to ask you fans if it's worth playing the games afterwards, and is Metro 2034 (the book) as good as 2033? Please no spoilers, thank you all.
do yall have any guesses on khan's ethnicity
It is going to be released for the PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2 and 3, Steam VR and Viveport.
Edited to remove false info.
I wish the Metro games had a more variety of different firearms to choose from

As the cream of the crop carbine size assault rifles used by trusted experienced Spartans with spare parts, repair tools, attachments & specialized ammo still in great condition since 2013AD. As well as older 9×39mm caliber firearms such as AS Vals & VSS Vintorezs that still in combat effective while still got more numbers.
Maybe Artyom & Sam would use some SR-3s for various situations with scopes, grips, suppressors & available specialized subsonic ammo, most likely using them at CQB/CQC scenarios at full potential.
The revolver in last light and 2033 is a Model 29 pistol not a nagant revolver. Nagant revolver is for exodus
What on earth is the revolver based on i know it’s nagant in metro exodus but what about 2033 is it Korth Sport or S&W 29?

We fans from Metro Exodus already he was in the USMC (might be infantry).
So I guess in an AU when he's still a Marine Security Guard (MSG) at Moscow's US Embassy in 2013AD brought along a number of US military arsenal such as 12 gauge shotguns (Remington Model 870 designated M870, Mossberg 500 designated M500, M590 with M590A1 & Benelli M4 designated M1014, the former used by MSGs), bayonets (M7 bayonet & OKC-3S bayonet variants) & entrenching tools while scrambled to the Metro before Russia's capital nuked. Which Sam during his 20 years in the Spartan Rangers at the Metro with his shotguns being one of the Rangers' primary weapons extremely effective as to other Russian shotguns loaded with 12x70 Buckshot rounds in CQB/CQC situations due to able to use same caliber which decrease most logistic issues; Artyom might praise Sam's shotguns such as the semi-auto Benilli M4s many times way better than any unreliable Shambler mentioned in his diary.
For story wise plus ammo wise right before he left the Aurora armored steam train crew at Lake Baikal & after participated Miller's funeral to start his journey back home towards Vladivostok as the known way getting back to San Diego, Cali AKA "Sam's Story", he got 'some' parting gifts from his friends which a number of items were from late Miller's 'secret' stash in the Aurora to not let enemies find out those top quality items. Those items include firearms with attachments, gadgets, spare parts plus repair tools like an AEK-971 5.49x39mm selective-fire assault rifle with a GP-25 40mm under-barrel muzzleloaded grenade launcher (GP-34 variant), an AK-105 5.49x39mm select-fire carbine, an SV-98 7.62x54mmR bolt-action sniper rifle, an SVD Dragunov 7.62x54mmR designated marksman rifle (SVDS variant), an SVU 7.62x54mmR bullpup designated marksman rifle (SVU-A select-fire battle rifle variant) & Vepr-12 12 gauge magazine fed semi-auto shotgun.
So Sam took the AEK-971, AK-105, GP-34, SV-98, SVU-A & Vepr-12 with his American shotguns, he headed to Vladivostok.
As those examples used by Sam makes him quite lethal against most threats even before he later got the Sammy & Stallion from Tom.
I guess many of the Aurora's crew puzzled why Miller didn't bring those firearms with him to also share along them when facing many threats, then the man is dead already so not much said other than grumbling should've found those earlier to give them the edge against various foes.
In the mission after you get past the red line, you get knocked out and are taken hostage, right after the cutscene where you are freed you can walk forward and open up a gate, inside is a half buried skeleton clutching a crowbar next to a pair of glasses, there is another skeleton sitting against a wall by the door
