Arrows are large steel needles made inside the Metro for use in makeshift weaponry. They are fairly rate and expensive, costing one MGR to buy and sell one arrow. However, they have enormous damage output, are silent and are the only ammunition that can be retrieved and reused (aside from Throwing Knives).
They are likely crafted from any spare metal found in the Metro, as it is unlikely many pre-war hunting arrows made it into the Metro.

Tips and Trivia
- Since the arrows are reusable, there is little reason to buy them in the Exchange Kiosks. By the end of the game one can collect about seventy arrows just by looting corpses.
- The HUD icon for arrows have barbs, but the in-game model do not, possibly to make them easier to retrieve.
- Although they can be retrieved, the player should not count on this, as they can be lost if they are fired into scenery, or if they hit ammunition pouches that fall off the body. Always carry more than you need.
