The Commonwealth of Europe (Russian: Содружество «Европа»), better known simply as "Europe", is a faction that controls three stations in the Moscow Metro. It appears in the Universe of Metro 2033 novel Crossroads of Fate.
Overview[]
"Europe" controls two stations of the Filyovskaya line (Mezhdunarodnaya and Vystavochnaya) and one station on the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line (Delovoy Tsentr). It has borders with the Arbat Confederation, Hanza and the Great Worm Cult.
A significant portion of the residents of "Europe" are immigrants, former businessmen and employees of the Moscow City business center. The community is cut off from the "Big Metro", because the tunnels leading to Kievskaya and Park Pobedy have both collapsed. The residents call themselves "Europe" (or the "Commonwealth of Europe") quite rarely, since they do not know anything about other survivors, which is why they almost do not need self-designation.
Trivia[]
- Apart from Crossroads of Fate, the faction was to appear in another Universe of Metro 2033 novel, called The Enemy of My Enemy. However, this novel's release was postponed indefinitely.
