Driver is an achievement in Metro Exodus that can be obtained in The Caspian level.

Overview

This achievement is obtained upon first entering Saul's van. The van is captured by Artyom in one of the first missions in this area, when Miller sends him to investigate what looks like a bandit outpost with a transmitter. After fighting their way through hordes of humanimals and a few gangsters and reaching the top floor of the base, Artyom will obtain the key required to open and start up the van. The van is located in front of the base, the easiest way to get to it is by using a grapple. Before Artyom can enter the van, a few more humanimals have to be killed.

Trivia

• Saul's van is based on the UAZ 452, which is nicknamed "the Bukhanka". The description of this achievement refers to the van using this nickname.
• The background associated with this achievement shows a different vehicle of the same type, not the actual drivable Bukhanka - it has a different colour scheme and fewer parts are missing (the drivable Bukhanka is missing most of its right sidewall and some parts of it have been crudely repaired using whatever was available).
  • The drivable van is later repaired and fitted with lead lining so that Miller and Artyom can use it to drive through Novosibirsk. The repaired version is much more similar to the vehicle depicted on the background than the original version.
