Filyovskaya Line (Russian: Филёвская линия) is Line 4 of the Moscow Metro.
Overview[]
The Filyovskaya line is 14.9 km long and has 13 stations. The history of the line is rather complex, with there being several stages of construction and modification. Because of its sharp turns and small station sizes, the line was rather unpopular with the Russian public. With the emergence of the Moscow City business center in the 1990's, a branch was added to the line in order to connect the new section of the city to the metro. After the Strogino–Mitino extension, the western end of the line was connected to the larger Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line.
The Filyovskaya line is one of the most deserted in the entire metro, with only 4 inhabited stations. This is no surprise, since most of the western end of the line is above ground, making settlement impossible. Additionally, two stations on the eastern end are overrun by mutants.
