Synopsis[]
Kidnapping[]
Anatoly Tomsky lives a quiet and peaceful life at Polis, in Borovitskaya, with his wife Lena. In his dream, Tomsky sees a vision that Polianka shows him, but he cannot understand it. Waking up, he realizes that his wife is pregnant. After a day's work on Borovitskaya, Tolya meets his good friend Nikolai Nosov, a dwarf with the nickname "Rover". He asks Tomsky for help in freeing his brother Grigory and the others from Berilag, a Red Line penal labor camp, but Tolya refuses, citing his pregnant wife. Rover understands this and leaves.
Meanwhile, in the Red Line, Moskvin summons the commandant of Berilag, a man nicknamed Cheka. He offers him a way to finally rid themselves of all unruly rivals and promote communism to the populace further along the underground. The Secretary General agrees with this decision. The commandant turns out to be Cheslav Korbut, the son of Mikhail Korbut, who died under the wheels of a locomotive. Cheka instructs his two subordinates, Givi and Martin, to kidnap Elena, which they proceed with. But before that, Cheslav is delivered the scientist who is to organize the testing of a virus - Vladimir Darvinovich. He refuses and Cheslav tortures him with a blowtorch, but without obtaining his consent, puts Darvinovich in an isolation cell at Dzerzhinskaya.
Meeting[]
Tomsky learns of his wife's kidnapping and decides to travel through the Reich to Dzerzhinskaya. In the Reich, he is arrested and placed in a holding cell as punishment. Soon, Tomsky meets up with his old friend, Warrant Officer Arshinov, and a legless cripple, who used to be a fascist as well. However, the anarchists are rescued from prison on the orders of Givi and Martin, before being taken to Cheslav at Dzerzhinskaya. He explains that Elena is in Berilag and offers Tomsky a deal: he and Korbut's group go in search of the virus, and Cheslav gives him his wife. Tomsky doesn't agree with Cheslav's order, so he and the warrant officer are put in a punishment cell with Vladimir Darvinovich. All three are released by Rover. During the fight, the quartet manages to escape from Dzerzhinsky Station through the catacombs.
First International[]
Through the sun worshippers, Tomsky's squad reaches Novokuznetskaya. They decide to stay in the tunnel near the station to rob a passing caravan and get weapons. Meanwhile, the scout Yakov Berzin, who is also the head of the Berilag guard, captures the commissar of the Che Guevara First International Brigade, Rusakov, at the station. Leading him into the tunnel, his men are attacked by Tomsky and company, who free the commissar. He, along with his group, go to the station and take fuel and weapons from the bandit trader. The five of them leave the station in the direction of Paveletskaya. In the middle of the tunnel, they meet up with the rest of the brigade - the dog Caratsupa, Fyodor, Lumumba, and Banzai. There, they also free three Negroes from spider captivity, who join the unit.
Breaking the blockade of Avtozavodskaya[]
The brigade rushes to Avtozavodskaya. On the way, it becomes clear that the Reds, on Moskvin's orders, have besieged the station, causing a mass starvation. After losing Jean-Baptiste, Rusakov's detachment manages to break the blockade and find themselves at the station. Tomsky tells Rusakov about Berilag and he agrees to help. Gathering weapons together, the squad goes to Berilag through the Izmailovsky jungle. Fleeing the wasps there, the group splits up: Vladimir takes the suicide belt given to the group at Avtozavodskaya and goes to the bunker where the "Nemesis" virus is stored. Meanwhile, a detachment of Givi and Martin is sent there from Lubyanka. However, the Red squad arrives there a little later than Vladimir. Fortunately, the old scientist sacrifices himself in an explosion which destroys the bunker, thus redeeming his cursed past in working with the virus. Givi and Martin survive, then head back to Dzerzhinskaya.
Berilag Offensive[]
The Chegevarov brigade, having lost Pierre and Raphael in battle, reaches the garage where Arshinov keeps his "Terminator" fire support vehicle. It takes the brigade to Podbelsky Street, where Berilag was located. Upon reaching the station and entering the platform on vehicles, Rusakov's and Tomsky's fighters free the prisoners. The battle for the station begins. Tomsky, having tackled Givi and Martin, who came up on him, reaches Cheslav in his office. There, the commandant already has a scalpel to Elena's throat and begins to threaten Tomsky.
At this time, Grigory Nosov enters the office with Korbut's pet, Weasel Six, who has now recognized the dwarf Nosov, not the commandant, as her master. She jumps onto her former master and sinks her fangs into his shoulder. Out of fear, Cheslav releases Elena, but he is crushed by a bookshelf holding jars of Korbut's experiments.
The battle for the station ends in victory for the prisoners and the anarchists. The surviving captive guards, led by Berzin, are sent to Cherkizovskaya. Tomsky himself tells Berzin to tell Mosvkin and the Secretary General to forget about Podbelsky Station, which the victors rename Che Guevara Station.
Tomsky, Elena, Arshinov, Vsezdekhod, the prisoners, and the rest of the brigade stay to live at the station.
