May Day Republic (Russian: Первомайская Республика) is a faction that controls two stations on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line in Moscow Metro. It is featured in the Universe of Metro 2033.
Overview[]
This isolated faction controls two stations. Pervomayskaya is the capital and is populated mostly by soldiers. The second controlled station is Schelkovskaya, which is inhabited mostly by civilians and traders. A telephone line was established between both stations and the tunnels between them are relatively safe.
The republic is managed by former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The vast majority of residents of both stations do not know about the habitability of the "Big Metro", with the exception of the leadership and other key persons of the Republic.
Ordinary residents trade only within the Republic, however, the leadership secretly buys weapons, ammunition, and other kinds of equipment from Hanza, Baumansky Alliance, or other factions of the "Big Metro".
There are two sub-factions within the Republic's armed forces - "Foresters" (Лесовики) who specialize in operations on the surface (scavenging resources etc) and "Moles" (Кроты) who mostly work underground, guarding the stations and the tunnels.
