Metro 2033: Mutant is the fourth novel by Andrey Butorin, written as part of the Metro 2033 universe. Released in April 2014, this is the forty-seventh book in the series. The first part of the Votchina Tales trilogy.

Plot and locations[]

The novel is set in the Vologda region of Russia. In particular, mention is made of the town of Veliky Ustyug and the settlements of the district of the same name: Gorlovo, Derevenka, Slobodka, and Ilyinskoe. In Veliky Ustyug there is a group of bandits, Kremliners and Morozovites, while the other settlements listed above are under the control of "wild" mutants.

One of these mutants is the protagonist of this novel.
