Synopsis[]
There are times when the bullet that is meant to end your life goes into the sky. But to everyone in the world - and even to yourself - you are a dead man. You have been erased from all the records, plans and schemes, no one takes you into account. You are nobody: no possessions, no home, no name, no love, no hate, no purpose. And there has been no fear for a long time either. For you know that death has not changed its mind at all. It has merely taken a reprieve...
Interesting facts[]
- The novel's synopsis called for action in the Fourth Reich, but due to Dmitry Glukhovsky's writing of Metro 2035, the Nazi stronghold was vetoed, which led to the transfer of events to Red Gate Station, which belongs to the Red Line.
- There were to be three parts to the novel, but the third unfolded in 2034, and was finalized by Olga into a full-length novel, Guardian Demon, whose publication was given the green light as an exception.
