Metro 2033: Nomad is Sergei Alexeyev's debut novel, written as part of the Metro 2033 universe. Released in July 2019, this is the one hundred and fourth book in the series.

Synopsis[]

The goal of a bounty hunter is simple: find the criminal and bring him to justice. If not alive - then present him in pieces that fit the identification. The information obtained during a previous raid, leads an experienced mercenary on the trail of blood left by his enemy. However, an already difficult task threatens to become completely impossible. To achieve the desired result, he must overcome the hundreds of kilometers of sandy plains which is southern Kazakhstan...

  • The working title is "Blood and Lead".
  • The last book with an opening letter from the phrase "A grandiose saga which anyone can take part in".
  • The first cover featuring protagonists of Mongoloid origin (however, the cover of Juliet with No Name depicts a women of Vietnamese decent).
  • One of the protagonist discovers a radio broadcast in Chinese, which creates an element of intrigue.
  • Four main Kazakh forces emerge: The Coastal Brotherhood, Followers of Aidakhar, Shymkent Kaganat, and the Russian Military (the latter, however, is a stretch).
  • All of the above forces are mentioned in the novel. The last two are introduced, while the others are referenced, one of which is played out in the story.
  • A map is presented at the end of the novel.
  • Almaty now lays in ruins. Mostly because of the difficult seismic conditions of the region. However, two of its metro stations still survived, and the story "Red on Black" by Irina Bakulina tells about them.
