Polyanka (Russian: Полянка) is an abandoned station of the Moscow Metro south of Polis. Known as "Destiny Station" by the Council of Polis, Polyanka is visited by Artyom, Hunter's group, as well as Khan and Ulman.
Metro 2033[]

When Artyom reaches the station, he meets two friendly men, with a cat, who smoke around a bonfire. After a brief philosophical chat with them, Artyom is forced to cross the last tunnel to Polis. The Council explains to Artyom that the station is completely abandoned and nobody can live there; Polyanka seems to be a ghostly station and projects strange visions when people pass through. Because of this, it is suspected that the two men, along with their cat, at Polyanka were ghosts, though Artyom finds it difficult to believe.
Metro 2034[]
Homer's Vision[]
When Homer reaches Polyanka with Hunter, he sees the station as completely new and clean, as if the nuclear war had never touched it, with people impatiently waiting for the train. As Homer looks closer at said scenery, he recognize the passengers to be dead people he still remembers (family, friends, favorite actors etc.). When the train finally arrives, Homer notices the cabin of the engine driver being empty, with a clean uniform hanging on the window. After seeing this, Homer finally understands the meaning of his vision.
Hunter's Vision[]
The vision itself is not described directly, though the effects it has on Hunter are clear. As Homer and Hunter reaches Polyanka station, the ex-Ranger, out of the blue, starts a knife-fight with an invisible opponent. After a vicious fight, the exhausted Hunter loses the battle (possibly even "dying") and collapses onto some tracks. Homer interprets Hunter's behavior as visualization of his inner struggle between his humane and savage personalities. After this, Hunter appears to show his feelings more, though he is still incredibly cold.
Metro: Last Light[]
The station is not seen, or even mentioned at all during the main campaign. However, it is featured in the level "Khan" in the Chronicles Pack. Uhlman, having just stopped a Red Line controlled train, inadvertently finds himself teaming up with Khan to make it back to Polis. The shortest route is through Polyanka. Khan leads Uhlman on a mysterious journey, filled with the ghosts of the past and dangerous mutants.
