'Metro 2033: Rublyovka is the fourth novel by Sergei Antonov, written as part of the Metro 2033 Universe. The thirty-seventh book of the series. The first part of the trilogy Rublyovka: What an Empire is Worth, this novel is set in the former Rublyovka.
Synopsis[]
Once upon a time, the empire of Ancient Egypt ruled half the world. At the command of its rulers, who were declared living gods, monumental buildings were erected and hundreds of thousands of people died. Centuries and millennia later, the Earth was scorched by the nuclear fire of the Last War. But even this was unable to change human nature. And here already on Rublevsky Highway, as though in mockery of all history of mankind, a pyramid rises, as the conceited billionaires, show business stars, and other yesterday's masters of life are compelled to bow before the will of the new Pharaoh.

- Initially, Sergei Antonov wanted to write a novel about his hometown, Bykhov, but Dmitry Glukhovsky convincingly proved that Moscow and its surroundings are more associated with the pioneer of the series than with his native land.
- The book uses Ancient Egyptian and Japanese themes.
- The closed city of Odintsovo-10 (Vlasikha) was struck by an American psychotropic bomb, which gave rise to the mental anomaly known as "Sfumato".
