Metro 2035: The Giant is the third novel by Polish writer Robert Szmidt, written as part of the "Metro Universe" and his New Poland trilogy. The third book of the Polish premium series, this novel was released in May 2019 in Poland. The release in Russia is unknown.
Synopsis[]
The abyss, as it turned out, is not the only underground complex inhabited by the Cleaners. The territory of western Poland is full of such bunkers. In addition, far from the larger cities, lies the underground heart of New Poland. It is there, after an unsuccessful reconnaissance operation, that the kidnapped Rememberer and his companion, Spark, find themselves.
Taken out of the city by an armored train, they reach the legendary Giant complex, built - like the underground city near Wroclaw - by the Nazis, and many decades later expanded by the hard labor of thousands of slaves who once inhabited the enclaves.
The desperate Spirit has only one goal left: to take revenge on those who took away everything from him, including hope. He intends to declare all-out war against the Colonel, the current commander of the Giant. However, he will have to reconsider his plans because the giant underground catacombs in the Owl Mountains are vastly different from anything he has ever known.
Moreover, their existence is neither the only nor even the greatest mystery he will face on his way to a one-man and seemingly doomed battle.
